ILYA supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ILYA supports each of the SDGs through its interior design, consultation, construction and procurement of furniture and artwork.

ENVIRONMENT

We will propose environmentally friendly interior spaces and promote energy and resource conservation.
We will also work to reduce waste generated during construction and furniture delivery.

    • Promoting energy savings through natural lighting, lean lighting planning and low heat load planning in interior environmental planning.
    • Proposals for furniture and interior materials made from thinned wood.
    • Proposals for the conversion of furniture.
    • Proposals for environmentally friendly products such as tiles, carpet tiles and curtains made from recycled waste materials.
    • Promoting the reuse of furniture packaging materials.
    • Providing sustainable, high-quality spaces in developing countries in Asia through the design of offices, hotels, commercial facilities, etc.
    • Proposals for furniture and interior materials made from thinned wood
    • Promotion of paperless operations in enterprises
    • Promoting the reduction of cardboard boxes in moving coordination operations
    • Proposing interior materials and custom-made furniture made from domestic timber to recreation and welfare facilities.

SOCIETY

We contribute to improving productivity by making offices where people from all walks of life work in a comfortable and attractive working environment.
In buildings other than offices, we create interior spaces that are safe and easy for everyone to use.

    • Sending executives and employees to several universities to provide advanced technical and vocational education in interior design and furniture.

    • Support for the acquisition of qualifications to improve professional skills, such as architects

    • Promoting organisational management to make the most of the large number of outstanding women who aspire to work in the interior design industry (work collaboration with an emphasis on teamwork through mutual understanding and collaboration)
    • Proposals for comfortable offices and healthy ways of working (ABW , refreshment and communication spaces, recreation facilities, planting proposals, etc.)
    • Proposals for wellness (healthiness) spaces 'Soto-Rooms' that bring outdoor elements such as light, greenery and birdsong into the room to create a relaxing effect
    • Realisation of hotel spaces incorporating local culture
    • Promotion of work style reforms (e.g. reducing overtime, encouraging employees to take annual paid leave, introducing teleworking systems, encouraging employees to take parental and nursing care leave).
    • Barrier-free initiatives in public facilities, welfare-related facilities, business buildings, hotels, etc.
    • Design consultancy on universal offices
    • Design and proposal of LGBT toilets.
    • Implementation of education to prevent all forms of harassment
    • A BCP manual has been drawn up and periodic drills are conducted to confirm the safety of employees and external personnel in the event of a disaster, as well as to support the initial restoration of operations for external parties.
    • Implement safety design for disaster prevention in architectural and interior design.
    • Use of noncombustible building materials and extending the service life of building materials.

GOVERNANCE

We strive to ensure compliance as the basis for business continuity and aim to manage our organisation in such a way that it sets the standard for other companies.

    • The Group has established and operates a compliance manual and a corporate ethics reporting system.
    • The Group's goal is to promote the practice of business ethics through regular training on the Code of Business Conduct.
