The Japan Sign Design Association presented their 38th annual SDA Awards honoring high-quality signage design that sets new industry standards. The Okamoto Glass Company’s thin film facilities, for which ILYA designed the signage and building coloration, received a 2004 SDA Award. Seeing the factory as a vehicle for expressing Okamoto’s corporate identity, we used glass as a motif in a clear and simple design solution that creates workspace pleasant to work in. Okamoto Glass Company’s Thin Film Division develops and manufactures “cold light” glass products such as reflectors for projectors, automobile headlights and dental mirrors.
